FAQs
1. What
is the role of the parent?
Parent-child class :
The parent is there to encourage and support the child's learning
endeavors. Some children may stay very close to their Mom or Dad until
they feel comfortable in the class. This is normal and expected.
BigKids
Classes
: Even though your child is now on his own in the BigKids Classes,
parents continue to be our "learning partners". Parents will be given
special take-home learning pages so that the learning can continue at
home.
2. What
if I miss a class?
Parent-child
class
: You can call your school to schedule a make-up class. This make-up
class must be done within the semester that you are enrolled. No
make-ups are permitted after your current program expires. There are no
refunds or credit given for classes missed and not made up.
BigKids
Classes
: There are no make-ups for missed BigKids classes. However, if you
would like to take a parent-child class as a make-up you may schedule
this at your school.
3. My
child is on the cusp of two age groups. Which class is best?
If it is your child's first class, the younger group is probably best
to start. A child can be moved up to the next age group at any time.
4. My
child is very shy. Will Thinkertots help?
Absolutely! Even shy children will thrive when given the support and
encouragement they need. Most children will begin to feel comfortable
after just a few classes. After that, the classes will build a child's
social skills and confidence.
5. My
child can't sit still for 5 minutes! Will Thinkertots help?
Oh, yes. Your child's attention span will gradually develop and get
longer. Continued exposure to activities that help him/her pay
attention is key. Thinkertots also helps this by limiting distractions
in the classroom.
6. Can I
bring my other children to the class?
Only siblings who are enrolled in the class may attend. The exception
is babies not yet walking.
7. What
if I change my mind about enrolling?
Parent-child
class : You can cancel up to three days after your first
class and receive a 100% tuition refund. No refunds after that point.
BigKids

class and receive full tuition reimbursement less a $50.00 registration
